Nikki Bartlett is a Fine Arts Illustration student based in Downriver Michigan. Because of her childhood growing up on an island surrounded by nature she developed an appreciation for the beauty, mystery, and darker elements of the world around her. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember, always finding art to be a meaningful outlet for self-expression.

She is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration at College for Creative Studies and has maintained honors student status throughout all four years of college.

Throughout her artistic journey, Nikki Bartlett has explored a wide range of mediums, including painting, drawing, stained glass, entomology, graphite, colored pencil, ink, charcoal, and digital art. Of these, charcoal has become her favorite medium because of its ability to create striking contrast, dramatic lighting, and emotional depth. She enjoys bringing each piece to life through the balance of light and shadow, with a particular passion for darker, impactful imagery that reveals the beauty found within darkness. She hopes to pursue a career in the tattoo industry and is currently seeking an apprenticeship where she can continue developing her skills and artistic voice.
